Punjab United FC is a semi-professional football club based in Gravesend, Kent, currently competing in the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) Premier Division. Founded in 2003, it has grown from an amateur Sunday league side into a prominent community club recognized for its multicultural ethos. The club's motto is "Pride, Passion, Punjab", and while rooted in the local British Sikh community, it is open to all regardless of background.
After joining the Kent County League Premier Division in 2016, they won the title in their first year with a record points tally—the first Asian-run team to do so. They followed their initial success by winning the SCEFL Division 1 title in the 2017/18 season, earning promotion to the Premier Division. Other successes include winning the Kent Senior Trophy in April 2023, and reaching the semi-finals of the FA Vase, drawing a record home crowd of nearly 1,300 spectators. Such is the extent of the club's success both on and off the field, building extensive and deep links across the community, that the club's 2018/19 season was the subject of a BBC documentary titled Our Lives, which was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award.
While the club's home turf at the Steve Cook Stadium isn't served by Fastrack, passengers can change in Gravesend - Arriva route 482 departs from Stop F on Barrack Row, and buses run to the nearby bus stops on Christian Fields Avenue.
