Alkerden Church of England Academy is the new secondary school for Ebbsfleet Garden City development, between Dartford and Gravesend.
The Academy accommodates an eight-form-entry secondary school, two-form-entry primary school, as well as a nursery. The site also includes a community sports centre, a sixth form campus, and a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP), providing targeted support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Fastrack route B and route C call at Portbridge Gardens, the closest bus stop for Alkerden Academy towards Bluewater and Gravesend. The stops are a few minutes' walk from the academy entrance, at the south end of the academy campus. These routes combine to offer service every 10-12 minutes, and we are reviewing the passenger loadings on a daily basis as we look to improve service to the academy and surrounding area.
